The GPCA Guild is a community of volunteers who help Grande Prairie Choral Arts thrive both on and off the stage. Guild members support our mission by serving on standing committees, assisting with concert-day operations through the Concert Crew, sharing professional skills, and providing leadership throughout the organization. Whether you have a few hours each season or are looking for a deeper level of involvement, the GPCA Guild offers meaningful ways to make a lasting impact. Chose from one or multiple options below.
Concert Crew
The Concert Crew is the team that helps bring every GPCA performance to life. From welcoming audience members and assisting with refreshments to staffing our information table and supporting behind-the-scenes operations, Concert Crew volunteers help create an exceptional concert experience from beginning to end. Whether you enjoy interacting with guests or working behind the scenes, there's a place for you on the crew.
Fundraising Committee
Help GPCA build the resources that keep our choirs growing, thriving, and accessible to our community! Members of the Fundraising Committee assist with fundraising efforts throughout the season, which may include helping plan special campaigns or events, seeking sponsorships and donations, developing creative fundraising ideas, and supporting other opportunities that strengthen GPCA financially. Whether you love connecting with local businesses, organizing a great event, brainstorming new ideas, or simply lending a hand when a fundraiser comes together, there is a place for you on this committee.
Marketing Committee
Help spread the word about GPCA and connect more people with the music we make! Members of the Marketing Committee help promote GPCA, the Grande Prairie Singers, and the Grande Prairie Children’s Choir through social media, digital content, photography or video, community outreach, concert promotion, singer recruitment, and other creative efforts. Because much of this work is digital, members should already be comfortable using computers, smartphones, and common online tools. You don’t need to be a marketing professional—we’re happy to teach GPCA’s specific platforms and processes—but a solid foundation in technology is important.
GPCA Board of Directors
Help guide the future of GPCA! Members of the Board of Directors provide leadership and oversight for the organization, helping shape its goals, policies, finances, and long-term direction. Board members attend regular meetings, participate in organizational decision-making, and support the work of GPCA’s committees and programs. We welcome people who care about GPCA’s mission and are willing to contribute their time, perspective, and skills to help the organization remain strong and sustainable for years to come.
Grant Committee
Help GPCA find new resources to support our choirs and programs! Members of the Grant Committee help identify grant opportunities, research potential funders, assist with grant applications, and help track deadlines and reporting requirements. Prior grant-writing experience is helpful but not required—we welcome people who are organized, comfortable with research and writing, and interested in helping GPCA secure funding to support its mission and future growth.
GPCC Volunteers
Help create a welcoming and supportive experience for the young singers of the Grande Prairie Children’s Choir! Volunteers may assist with rehearsals, check-in and dismissal, special activities, concerts, communication, or other behind-the-scenes needs throughout the season. We’re looking for dependable, encouraging adults who enjoy working with children and are willing to lend a hand wherever needed to help rehearsals and events run smoothly. All GPCC volunteers must have a current background check on file with GPCA.
